Base64 user data only?

Hello, I am working with launch configuration and the user-data I enter is being base64 encoded. This is causing issues with all the scripts I currently have. Is there a way to flag plain text for the user-data field? This is an option in the AWS Console. However, it does not seem to be an option in this tool.

Sorry we dont currently have a flag for that. Will add this to our list so we can do that.

Is this when you create a launch config? Are you saying when autoscaling launches an instance with the userdata you have defined for the launch config, the instance is started by autoscaling with encoded data?

    thanks

Thanks for adding it. The issue is when you create a launch config in Ylastic the user-data in base64 encoded. If you use the AWS AutoScale API and create the launch config the user-data is plain text.
