Can I copy my EBS snapshot to another EC2 region?
- Go to the snapshots page.
- Select the snapshot of your choice, and click the Copy snapshot to another region icon.
- Provide the necessary info in the pop-up dialog and click copy.
Ylastic will automatically create resources needed for the copy process including EC2 instances, groups, keys, volumes and snapshots. These will be cleaned up once the process is completed. On completion of the migration, you will receive an email with the details of the new snapshot in the chosen region. You can also check the status of the migration at any time on the migrations page.
