Unless it's using some syntax I don't know it would be useful to have regex search ability within the different aws resource pieces.

For example we generally alias our aws ec2 instances as -.-.domain.com
eg. web-1.us-east1-a.domain.com
web-2.us-east1-a.domain.com web-1.us-east1-b.domain.com etc.

some of our lists get pretty long when you add in dev, qa, etc environments. Especially if, in my current situation the function is in the name fo the domain (app in this case ;) )

it would be extremely useful to be able to search in a way such as:
app-[0-9]-us-east1-*
or any other number of ways of using standard regex formatting.
