Hello There,

Since you switched to new interface, the windows inside instances view became of fixed heigth, which not always allows to see instance details.
For example, look on the screenshot attached from https://dashboard.ylastic.com/instances URL - bottom window is located in the middle part of the screen which is bad by itself since at least third of the screen can't be used, but the most important is that window size is fixed and there is a slider bar for window width, but no slider for window heigth and no ability to resize it.

Thanks,
Roman.

    Hello
    Any update on it???
Due to this problem Image, Tags and Volume tabs on EC2 instance details view are unusable completely.
The issue has been opened for more than weeks already - didn't you had enough time to even respond???
Or you do not feel it is severe enough?
    Thanks,
    Roman.

Could you please let us know the resolution you are using? This seems to be resolution specific.

    thanks!

The resolution I use is 1980x1080.
It is possble that on other resolution window shows full content, but in my view its size supposed to be dynamic anyway.
And than everyone will be able to change it according to his resolution or personal preferences, etc.

We are working on a fix for this and hope to have it in prod soon. It seems like the JS lib we use though it should be resolution independent, and scale, seems to have an issue with the larger resolutions.

    thanks'

    Are there any news?
We like a half year after your last reply and we still see same issue.
One thing to mention is that this problem a bit less apparent than in Firefox, where your interface really hardly usable, at least with my resolution of 1920x1080 which is a standard one for 24" monitor

    Hi Roman,

We mostly use and test in Chrome and Safari. I will get this tested in FF, and get it working better. Will have a resolution for this later this week.

We are currently completely redoing the VPC pages. We are also in the process of adding AWS config support, for resource tracking and history of changes to supported resources.

    thanks!

We deployed a new version of the instances page that addresses the Firefox issues. Please refresh and reload the instances page, and let us know how it works for you. Once I get some feedback, we will roll out the same change to all the other pages.

    thanks!

There is one additional thing which could be desirable in this matter though, but only as "nice-to-have" feature: change fixed border between top/bottom windows to the one which user can drag up and down.
As you can see on the picture attached, almost third of the window on the bottom wasted currently.
There is many more lines could be shown in top window if we could change it by drugging border between two windows down, increasing height of top window and decrease bottom one which have nothing to show anyway.

    Thanks,
    Roman.

That is a great suggestion. Will add this to our list. Once we roll out the previous changes to all the page, we will come back and look at how we can do this.

    thanks!
